How to Find a Good Job at a Young Age

Vince Lombardi said “The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of WILL”

My name is Danyal Diallo and I am a 17-year old Entrepreneur, TEDx Speaker, Platinum Speaker, mindset coach and sales Coordinator at Digital Eagles. I have 3 students currently in Bangladesh, Canberra, and Melbourne.

How did I find a good job at a young age?

This all sounds fancy and all but last year I was in school and after my exams I did something that I think a lot of kids don’t do after they finish their year 12 studies. I asked myself what do I like to do?

Then when the answer came to me which was ‘sales and speaking’ I went ahead to MASS submit my resume to those types of jobs.

I even submitted them to work out of the state. Of course, I wasn’t going to travel but I figured I could talk to the HR manager about recommendations.

Now, I started mass distributing these resumes Friday, just two days after I finished my last exams and I started getting offers on the following Sunday to come for interviews in the city and other parts of the region in Melbourne. I went through the interview and when the interview concluded I would say to the HR manager;

“I will be in contact with you”

This wasn’t an ego thing far from it. The reason I tell the HR managers this was so I could legit come back later if I can. I kept saying to myself that there will be working that;

–          I love,

–          Work that had a great team culture and I would be proud represent,

–          Work that will be close to where I live,

–          and work that will continually progress me in life in terms of learning and career-wise,

Not even three weeks past and I found (in my opinion) the best marketing company in Melbourne called Digital Eagles. It ticked all the boxes TWICE!

As a 17-year-old, I love learning and with this job, I feel like a sponge soaking so much knowledge. I came to this agency as an intern and then I got promoted to the role of Sales Coordinator.

If you can see it, you can make it happen.
